Mercy in Motion: A Day in the Life of KOJJO MERCY

In the dusty paths of Kayunga District, a quiet strength walks among us. Her name is KOJJO MERCY, a 13-year-old girl who is both deaf and mute. Her voice may be silent, but her presence resounds with purpose. Born into a family facing serious financial hardship, Mercy’s days begin with chores, followed by a determined walk to school. Here, she relies on gestures, resilience, and empathy to navigate a world not designed for her.

Meet KOJJO MERCY (Left) P3 class with siblings. She is 13 Years old but Deaf and dumb since Birth. They’re struggling with School and Food.

At LIAB Ministries, we believe every child deserves the chance to thrive—especially those whose stories are seldom told. Mercy’s life reminds us that disability is not inability. Through our education and food security programs, we aim to keep her in school and at the table—nourished both mentally and physically.

Mercy is not alone. She is part of a growing community of children who, despite adversity, wake up with hope. And that hope is fueled by those willing to stand with her. By donating to LIAB, you’re not simply giving—you’re empowering. You’re saying that Mercy’s future matters. Her journey is still being written, and with your help, it can be a story of triumph.
